Meme Version 5.5

Meme is an open-source imageboard archiving service that I wrote in Java. I figured you guys could use such a service now that 4scrape has died. Now at version 5.5, it’s come a long way since I asked a friend how a webcrawler worked so I could save images on imageboards…Current Features include:-Archiving the text and images of certain imageboards. Known supported imageboards are currently:–All 4chan imageboards (not /rs/, /f/, or text-only boards)–Touhou Imageboard pooshlmer: http://pooshlmer.com/wakaba/wakaba.html–Magic Archive Voile: http://voile.gensokyo.org/If you are curious if a board is supported or not, ask here or email me and I will test it and if it is broken, I will do my best to make it supported.-Making the archived content searchable by several fields, including:–Thread Content–Post Content–Poster Name–Poster Tripcode–Thread Subject–Thread Number–Post Number–Image Filename

  1. Field too long, continuing post:-GUI for browsing the archived content and controlling the operations of the archiver.-Importing of other imageboard archives into the meme filesystem. This is built to work with archives created by using the "Save Page As" feature in firefox, becuase that was the archive that I was asked to import. If you have another archive style that you would like to import, ask here or email me about it and I’ll do my best to support it.-An export system for sharing files between meme archives has also been implemented. The system uses the same general form as the firefox "Save Page As" option, so it can be viewed in web browsers as well.Features in the works include:-Thread and post hiding-Browsing the meme archive as a board without searching-Distributed archiving system to connect different meme archives and download things you missed.Read the readme for more on how to use meme. Download the latest version here, a sample config file with required settings for WG is included:http://www.mediafire.com/?j4enmzjgzn4The email that I’m using to collect comments for this project is meme.comments@gmail.com, so if you have bug reports, questions, etc… send them there.
